A workshop day to discover the potential of Rammed Earth and Earth Screed 

This workshop will introduce you to the world of Rammed Earth and Earth screed (Chape Terre). From the conceptualisation to the mixture, execution and finishing.

We offer you an insight in the approach of BC materials on how to transform excavated earth into a Rammed Earth mixture. Through a lecture, we let you travel through some projects where such materials have been applied.

We will guide you through the properties, design guidelines and implementation guidelines. Where does it make sense to use rammed earth? How to make a suitable mixture? 

During a hands-on workshop you will be able to make a mixture, understand the right humidity, make a rammed earth wall, polish the surface,... This allows you to try out all processing steps such as mixing, ramming, finishing.
